The NC Design process...

Stage 1: Initial Consultation

NC Design offers a FREE, no obligation initial consultation to all prospective clients. During this meeting your designer will listen and make notes of your ideas, goals and aspirations for the project. We'll ask you lots of questions to obtain a solid design brief on which your concept design will be based. The budget and timeframe for the project will be discussed and for renovations the room dimensions will be taken.

Following your consultation, the NC Design Service Agreement establishing the scope of work and design fee structure is proposed (via email within 48 hours) and once accepted, work on your concept design will commence.

Stage 2: Concept Design

Using the design brief established during the initial consultation, your designer will get to work on creating your concept design. Your concept design is a set of computer-generated, photo realistic 3d renders (usually 3 or 4 per space) produced to convey your designers ideas for layout and overall appearance, and is delivered to you via email in a PDF format.

The cost of your concept design includes a 1-hour appointment at the NC Design studio during which your designer will go over the delivered design with you in detail. The materials, hardware, fittings and colour palette (specifications) will be discussed and any samples requested will be ordered. If you request any changes to the concept design (design development) then the cost to do so is established.

Stage 3: Design Development

If changes to the concept design are requested, then your designer will get to work on your developed design. Just like the concept design, your developed design is a second set of computer-generated, photo realistic 3d renders which will show the amendments made and colour palette discussed and is delivered to you via email in a PDF format.

The cost of your developed design includes a 30-minute appointment held at the NC Design studio during which your designer will go over the developed design with you. If further amendments are requested, then the cost to do so will be established.

If you are satisfied with the developed design and product specification, then Stage 4 options will be discussed in detail and the cost of the selected option will be established.

Stage 4 - Option 1: Project Estimate

The project estimate details the cost for NC Design to supply and install the approved design.

   OR

Stage 4 – Option 2: Release of Technical Plans and Specifications

The full set of detailed technical plans and specifications will be emailed to you as a PDF file (A3 hard copies available on request). You would then submit these plans to your chosen joiner/s or builder to price.

Any further consultation with NC Design will be charged as per the NC Design Services Agreement.
